College Completion Rates in Appalachia, 2000

(County Rates)

A college completion rate is the percentage of adults, 25 years and over, completing four years of college or more. The map uses natural breaks in the distribution to organize the data into groups of common values.

This map shows the college completion rate of adults in each of the ARC counties. Appalachian college completion rates range from 4.9% to 47.5%. The Appalachian average is 17.6%. The U.S. average is 24.4%. For a list of county data by state, see the downloadable Excel file.
