Res. 305] The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration House Resolution 305, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to the House with the recommendation that the resolution be adopted. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION The resolution provides for general debate on H. Con. Res. 85, the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2010. The resolution provides four hours of general debate, with three hours confined to the budget equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on the Budget and one hour on the subject of economic goals and policies equally divided and controlled by Representative Carolyn Maloney of New York and Representative Kevin Brady of Texas. The resolution waives all points of order against consideration of the concurrent resolution. Finally, the resolution provides that no further consideration shall be in order except pursuant to a subsequent order of the House. EXPLANATION OF WAIVERS Although the rule waives all points of order against consideration of the concurrent resolution, the Committee is not aware of any points of order. The waiver of all points of order against the concurrent resolution is prophylactic.
