Administration on Aging (AoA)

Compendia of Projects Awarded by Fiscal Year

The Compendia accessed below include abstracts of discretionary grant projects funded by the Administration on Aging by fiscal years. The majority of project awards are funded with appropriations for Title IV of the Older Americans Act. Others are funded from appropriations supporting Aging Network operations authorized under Title II, projects funded under the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia State Supportive Services Program authorized under Section 398 of the Public Health Services Act, and Senior Medicaid Patrol (SMP) Projects funded under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Each award reflects congressional concern for our elders and the administration’s vision for enhancing senior health and independence, especially for those in greatest need.

Abstracts are organized by program and topic areas which address a variety of needs for the elderly. Each abstract contains a brief summary of the project, including program goals, objectives, anticipated outcomes and products. Please note that beginning in FY2009, compendia include only new and continuing projects receiving funding during the fiscal year (October 1 – September 31).

For additional information, please feel free to contact the project directors, or contact the AoA Public Inquiries Unit at: 202-619-0724, or send an email to aoainfo@aoa.hhs.gov.
