                       [To accompany H. Res. 322]

    The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration 
House Resolution 322, by a non-record vote, report the same to 
the House with the recommendation that the resolution be 
adopted.

                SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION

    The resolution provides for consideration in the House of a 
joint resolution appointing the day for the convening of the 
second session of the One Hundred Seventh Congress, under a 
closed rule.
    The resolution provides one hour of debate in the House 
equally divided and controlled by the Majority Leader and the 
Minority Leader of their designees. Finally, the rule provides 
one motion to recommit.
