The Gypsy Moth News is a service of the USDA Forest Service, Northeastern Area State and Private Forestry. The News, which is distributed periodically (3 to 4 times a year), is a forum which provides a communications link for individuals concerned with research, control, and management of the gypsy moth.

The Newsletter has been in existence since 1979. Nearly 2,100 individuals or institutions are on the mailing list. These individuals include State Foresters, Regional Foresters, State and Federal employees, Universities, and homeowners, The Newsletter is distributed in 17 countries as well as the U.S.
