Draft Environmental Impact Statement

OCS EIS/EA MMS 2002-029

     This draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) covers the proposed Beaufort Sea Planning Area Oil & Gas Sales 186, 195, and 202.  The document includes the purpose and background of the proposed action, alternatives, description of the affected environment, and the predicted environmental effects of the proposed actions and alternatives.
     The draft EIS consists of three volumes and is available in both printed and CD-Rom  format.  Comments relating to the draft EIS will be accepted through September 20, 2002.  Comments may be emailed to akeis@mms.gov; faxed to 907-271-6805; or sent to Minerals Management Service, 949 E 36th Ave. Rm. 308, Anchorage, AK 99508-4363.
