Res. 547] The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration House Resolution 547, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to the House with the recommendation that the resolution be adopted. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION The resolution provides for consideration of House Resolution 540, expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that Congress should complete action on H.R. 3762, the Pension Security Act of 2002; House Resolution 544, expressing the sense of the House of Representatives on permanency of pension reform provisions; and House Resolution 543, expressing the sense of the House that Congress should complete action on H.R. 4019, making marriage tax relief permanent under a closed rule. The rule provides that House Resolution 540 shall be debatable in the House for one hour equally divided among and controlled by the chairmen and ranking minority members of the Committees on Education and the Workforce and Ways and Means. The rule provides that House Resolution 540 shall be considered as read for amendment. The rule provides that House Resolution 544 shall be debatable in the House for one hour equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and Means.
