Field Analytical Technologies for VOCs in Groundwater

Presentation Overview: This seminar is based upon a US EPA Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program evaluation of five different technologies for field analytical measurements of VOCs in groundwater. The seminar is divided into four segments and begins with a brief introduction to the ETV program and the Site Characterization and Monitoring Technologies Center. In the second segment, the technologies participating in the study will be reviewed. The basic principles of operation underlying the various technologies will also be presented. In the third segment, the sites used in the study and verification test plan objectives and methods will be presented. Finally, in the fourth segment, a summary of the results for each of the technologies will be given along with a discussion of advantages and limitations of each technology.
