1999 Commercial Buildings Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS)
Detailed Tables

The 1999 Consumption and Expenditures tables are here!

Additionally, a very few numbers in the building characteristics tables have been slightly revised (which ones?) since the last release in December 2001.

Complete sets of CBECS tables are available in PDF format (Download Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing files).

Individual CBECS tables (accessed to the left) are presented in three formats:

  • PDF (.pdf) for fully formatted, ready to print tables  (Adobe Acrobat Reader required)
  • Excel (.xls) for printable spreadsheet data (Microsoft Excel required)
  • Text (.txt) tables that can be viewed in any web browser or saved into any word processing software

The 1999 CBECS data is the most current data available for commercial buildings. Data from the next CBECS, which is 2003, will be released in 2004-2005.
