Fishery Bulletin

A peer-reviewed, open access, no fee, online early journal

The quarterly Fishery Bulletin is one of the oldest and most respected fisheries journals in the world. It has been an official publication of the U.S. Government since 1881, under various titles, and is the U.S. counterpart to other highly regarded governmental fisheries science publications. It publishes original research and interpretative articles in all scientific fields that bear on marine fisheries and marine mammal science.

Manuscripts submitted for publication in Fishery Bulletin undergo peer review by senior scientists within and outside the government. The NMFS Scientific Editor, a scientist affiliated with one of the NMFS Science Centers, is responsible for conducting the peer reviews and for accepting or rejecting manuscripts. He also consults with the journal's Editorial Committee.

Fishery Bulletin is an open access journal. All content is available without charge to the user and is in the public domain. One can read, download, copy, distribute, print, and search articles, provide links to the full texts of articles, and use articles for any lawful purpose, without asking permission from the publisher or author.  In addition, there are no fees to publish with Fishery Bulletin.
