Produced by NGA, DoD evasion charts are 1:250,000 scale and cover different geographic areas of the world. This product line was developed for the Air Force Intelligence Service in 1990 on behalf of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It is designed to assist in survival, evasion, resistance and escape by military personnel.
NGA creates highly accurate Terrain Visualization Manuevering Support through the integration of its orthorectified imagery and digital terrain elevation data -- standard NGA products -- with software architecture, called PowerScene(TM).
The February 1996 edition of a standard NGA world map, Topographic series 1145 is available for public purchase at the U.S. Geological Survey. A larger edition (Topographic series 1150) is also available.
