The Analysis of Data and the Final Report

Analysis of data was done in six 1° x 2° (1:250,000) quadrangles that encompass a large portion of the Colorado Plateau in Arizona. This area is referred to as the study area. Analysis focused on the region bounded by a 1° x 2° quadrangle defined by 113° W, 36.5° N, 111° W, and 35.5° N. This region includes Grand Canyon Village, Tusayan, and the North and South Rims and is referred to as the focus area. These areas are shown in the map below. The project report (see the Report Downloads section below) defines how the analysis was done and presents a detailed summary of work in the focus area. The results of all work in the study area is found in Project Products and Database section below. In addition, several geographic reference maps are also included in the Arizona Reference Maps section.

Project Products and Database

Arizona Reference Maps

Reference maps are maps that are not necessarily specific to this study. City locations, county boundaries, and topology are examples of the different themes found in the reference maps. The Arizona maps are the spatial data layers that have data for the entire state and the Study Area Maps only contain data in the study region. All reference maps have geographic coordinates except when explicitly stated and all maps that have geographic coordinates are derived from base maps with a scale of 1:1,000,000 except when explicitly stated. The data is compressed.
